Lovely Horribly Korean Drama Recap

What happens when a top movie star and an aspiring writer share the same fate, only their shared fate is on the opposite side of fate? Confused yet?!

“Lovely Horribly” is a horror-romantic comedy which falls into the supernatural genre, but with a slice of comedy and a hit of romance. The 32 long episodes broken into 30-35 minutes per viewing (16 episodes-one hour per episode) tells a tale of a man and woman that were born on the same day and at the same time and they seem to share opposite sides of one fate. If one of them is sad, the other is not, based off the universal rule. Still yet to find out why the universe set that rule.

The show features Park Shi-hoo (Phillip Yoo), a top star who has everything going well for him and has the luck of their fate , while Song Ji-hyo (Oh Eul-soon), a struggling series screenwriter wishes that one good thing will happen to her in her life time as bad luck becomes her best friend.  Lee Ki-kwang (Lee Sung-Joong), a rookie drama director has the ability to see ghosts/spirits in addition, he is a daddy long-legs with a major crush on Oh Eul soon. Then, there is Cho Yeo-Jin (Ki Eun-Young), a famous drama writer with a dark secret, and lastly, Ham Eun-Jung (Shin Yoon-A) who is a popular actress and Phillip’s girlfriend who has something to hide as well.

****Rather than recap the entire series, there will be major moments I will talk about and give the summary of the episodes.*****

All five characters have something in common as their fates are all intertwined. Though, Phillip’s and Eul soon’s fate are conjoined, these five do share a past that has a major interference with the present.  Suffice to say, this drama is about fate. Anyways, as Phillip and Eul soon begin to work together for a drama series, mysterious things begin to occur around them as events written in the screenplay begin to manifest in real life.

Tune in for episode 1
